Turning the London Office into a Cocktail Making Masterclass!
After a long day at work, there is nothing better than to walk into the kitchen to find it transformed into a cocktail making station! The London office had the treat last night to learn how to make Espresso Martinis and Passionfruit Martinis by a professional mixologist, as well as compete against one another to see who could create the best original concoction. While some made the bold choice to add energy drinks and protein shakes to their creations, Chanya and Tori’s unique fruity cocktails with muddled fresh berries ultimately won the competition.
The event-filled summer is not over yet, and we look forward to more fun times for team bonding coming up!
Double Trivia Nights in the US and UK!
Last night, the New York and London offices both tested their trivia skills at fun quiz evenings, with the US team going to Ten32 and the UK Team at Andrea Bar!
The London office was split up into two teams competing against each other and the rest of the pub patrons, with questions concerning pop culture, geography, music, movies, and more, highlighting each employee’s hidden bits of knowledge. The “Quizbot” team with Zac, Joe, Tori, Clara, and our new intern Wei managed to beat out the others by 15 points!
Everyone enjoyed lots of delicious food and cocktails, Thuong won a bottle of wine, and by the end, the group decided that this pub quiz may need to be a monthly tradition!
During the New York Office’s private trivia night, the group was split into five colorful teams, each trying to use their knowledge across a wide range of trivia categories in order to take home the win.
The venue had delicious food and drinks, fueling the fun as competition heated up just after the first round of questions. Round after round, with both full time employees and interns, all the teams continued to be neck and neck. But when all the trivia rounds were complete, even the Quantbot knowledge questions, the Purple Team emerged victorious! The Quantbot team is looking forward to even more events this summer!
Clay Pigeon Gaming Event for the London Office!
The London office welcomed Mike this week, and took the team out for a fun night of simulation clay pigeon shooting at Clays bar on Tuesday.
Everyone’s competitive sides came out as we played a variety of games, with Duncan and Vincent battling it out for the overall champion of the night. Each employee got a chance to play alongside their coworkers in teams, while also fending for themselves in 1 on 1 competitions.
We enjoyed loads of food, drinks, and overall had a great time chatting with Mike, alongside our new hire, Yuhao! As we celebrate the addition of two more interns in the coming weeks, the UK team is looking forward to an exciting summer full of events.
Sporty Company Outing at Open Squash!
The Quantbot NY team enjoyed some friendly competition this Tuesday at Open Squash, which we brought back again this year after its success last year! The interns got a chance to show off their skills on the court against the employees, as well as chat with everyone outside of the office space.
The evening consisted of squash, food, and drinks, allowing everyone to unwind and have fun after work. We look forward to the other exciting events planned for the summer!
Quantbot Partners Together in New York!
All of the Quantbot partners and New York directors had a special get-together at Ai Fiori this past Thursday, June 5th. With Thuong in from London and Johnson in from Hong Kong, it was a rare opportunity for the senior management team of Quantbot to enjoy a meal together and each other’s company. After a day of reviewing the firm’s strategic plans for the coming years, the group had a wonderful time together, and exchanged lots of stories and laughs!
